TORONTO, ON - Authorities responded to a multi-vehicle crash involving a school bus Tuesday morning in east Toronto that left one person critically hurt, reports CityNews Everywhere.
The accident unfolded near Midland Avenue and Kingston Road, in the Cliffside area of the city's Scarborough district. Toronto Police were dispatched to the scene shortly before 11:00 a.m.
A sequence of events has not been released, but officials say a vehicle overturned after colliding with a school bus.
While no children were on the bus at the time, Toronto paramedics confirmed that one person suffered life-threatening injuries and had to be rushed to a local trauma centre.
An unspecified number of other victims were also assessed by first responders at the scene.
