AURORA, ON - Emergency crews were called to the scene of a fiery collision early Tuesday, May 7, on Highway 404 in Aurora, according to OPP GTA Traffic.
The accident closed a stretch of the southbound highway between Wellington Street and Bloomington Road. It was first reported at 2:20 a.m., when officials had already arrived in the area.
It's unclear what caused the wreck or whether another vehicle was involved, but a vehicle fire was initially reported.
By 4:02 a.m., more than 1.5 hours after the initial Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) report, all southbound lanes were reopened to traffic.
No injuries or hospitalizations have been confirmed as of this writing.
