MISSISSAUGA, ON - Road rage and alcohol are reported factors in a multi-vehicle crash early Monday in Mississauga that injured four people, two seriously, according to
OPP Highway Safety Division.
The accident happened on a stretch of Highway 403 at Mavis Road (Exit 117) and was first reported at 5:16 a.m. by the Ontario Provincial Police Highway Safety Division on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Preliminary details indicate four vehicles were involved in a wreck as a result of a road rage incident and the actions of at least one intoxicated driver.
Two people suffered serious injuries and were transported to an area hospital along with two other victims, who sustained less serious injuries.
At the time of the social media post, officials had charged a 35-year-old driver with Dangerous Operating and Stunt Driving. The incident also resulted in a 14-day vehicle impound and a 30-day licence suspension for the driver.
