HAMILTON, ON – Ontario Provincial Police are seeking information following a wrong-way hit-and-run collision early Wednesday on Queen Elizabeth Way in Hamilton that left one person injured, reports CP24.
The incident was reported at about 3:38 a.m., on the ramp from Red Hill Valley Parkway to the Toronto-bound lanes of QEW.
Officials say an SUV was traveling against traffic in the ramp's northbound lanes when it collided with another SUV.
Witness accounts indicate at least three male occupants from the wrong-way SUV fled the scene on foot.
While a photo taken at the scene shows significant front-end damage to both vehicles, the driver of the victim vehicle was transported to an area hospital with injuries believed to be minor.
As the OPP continues to investigate, anyone with information is urged to come forward.
