Tara is a litigation lawyer with Preszler Law. Prior to that, Tara worked for the British Columbia Ministry of Attorney General and articled at a large private law firm.

As Legal Counsel, she appears in all levels of tribunals and courts and the Supreme Court of Canada. Many Tara's files are complex and strategically important. For example, Tara was lead counsel in high profile Crown Prosecutor liability cases (Clark v. Ontario and Miazga v. Kvello), represented the Province in the Ontario v. CBC at the Supreme Court of Canada (the Doug Ford mandate letter case), as well as important cases involving PharmaCare and the Ministry of Health. Tara also was counsel before the Cohen Commission and in Bennett v. British Columbia (one of British Columbia's first class action common issues trials.)

Tara's experience prior to joining LSB included working as a Quality Assurance professional at two local software companies as well as for Statistics Canada. She also worked as a Research and Development Coordinator with the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Within the profession, Tara has volunteered with the Professional Legal Training Course as a Guest Judge most years since 2009 and has volunteered with the CBA sections at various times in her career.
